Mike is an Associate Professor at Great Bay Community College where he teaches the Information Systems Technology courses. Prior to arriving at GBCC Mike was an adjunct professor at York County Community College for ten years and also taught at the Career Technology Center in Sanford Maine.
Prior to his new teaching career in public education Mike was an engineer who often found himself in the role of corporate trainer as he delivered new cutting edge technologies to the industry. With over 25 years in the High-Tech Industry he had been involved in the engineering, design and maintenance of early Main Frame computers to Microprocessors. This extensive career began with 6 years as a computer tech in the US Navy and then GTE Labs, Wang Labs, Cabletron and Enterasys Networks. As a product engineer for these various companies, Mike shared the responsibility for the designing, marketing and launching of new products which often included educating the world about these new products.
Mike completed his studies at Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. During his career in the High Tech industry Mike was regularly called on to participate in IEEE Society technology committees, present at trade technology shows and was often published in trade journals with his white papers and also has many bylined articles to his credit.
