Institutional Development

The Office of Institutional Development is here to support and advance Great Bay Community College's overall goals and mission by reaching out to friends, corporations, foundations and alumni in order to create a community of partners in education. We hope to introduce new supporters to our institution as well as re-connect with alumni to work together to garner financial and volunteer support to provide access to education for all learners, develop programs and ultimately help to shape the future of Great Bay Community College. If you or someone that you know has benefitted in some way from our wonderful institution and the role we have played in the Seacoast community, we invite you to learn more about how to get involved. We appreciate your consideration and interest in Great Bay Community College.

Honoring Visionary Leaders Doing Extraordinary Work

Great Bay Community College invites you to join us on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel, as we recognize three distinguished community leaders, Jackie Eastwood, PixelMEDIA, and Craig Brady. Each has achieved success, assumed leadership and supported their communities in very different ways; all reflecting the purpose of Great Bay Community College...

2013 Distinguished Leaders

  • Jackie Eastwood - Jackie's secret for leadership, "You build it up and then you get out of the way." As CEO and co-founder of Salient Surgical Technologies and former VP of Medtronic, Inc., Jackie is a very successful entrepreneur and community leader. She has served on a number of public and private boards and is the recipient of numerous awards. The Global Child, her latest effort, works to attract and educate street children in Cambodia.
  • PixelMEDIA - Founded in 1994 by Erik Dodier and Thomas Obrey, PixelMEDIA is full-service web strategy and application development company and has been named the "Best Small Company to Work for in NH." It's not what they do, but how they do it. By focusing on seven core values they are able to deliver for their clients, employees, and the community. Their commitments include education, business, veterans and the arts.
  • Craig Brady - Wounded in Afghanistan, Craig spent two years at Walter Reed Medical Center. He joined the USA Warriors Sled Hockey Program and continues to play hockey with Northeast Passage at UNH. In preparation for a career in therapeutic recreation, Craig enrolled at Great Bay Community College. He was recently selected for the 2013 World Champion U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team and will be competing around the world. We thank Craig for his service and sacrifice for our country and celebrate his achievements.

Each of these leaders has the vision to see beyond the ordinary and has turned opportunities into success. Our goal for this evening is to raise funds to provide scholarship opportunities for deserving Great Bay Community College students. Community colleges offer the opportunities that create success and change lives. We hope you will join us and become our Education Partner as we honor these Distinguished Leaders and support our many promising students. We have enclosed a fact sheet along with a sponsorship form for your consideration.
