PORTSMOUTH - Great Bay Community College will host Express Admissions Day on Friday, August 1st from 8:00AM to 4:00PM at the College’s campus in Portsmouth at the Pease International Tradeport . The event provides a convenient option for students seeking to complete the enrollment process and be ready to start classes in September or upcoming semesters.
At Express Admissions Day, the College will also unveil information on their new Dual Admission program with the University of New Hampshire. The program is available to any new student registering at Great Bay Community College starting for the Fall 2014 semester. Upon completion of an Associate’s Degree at GBCC and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher, dual admission program participants are guaranteed seamless entry to UNH with Junior standing into the College of Liberal Arts. An official signing of the agreement will take place at GBCC later this month.
In addition to learning about the new Dual Admission program, Express Admissions day participants will have the opportunity to meet with Admissions staff, submit an admissions application, and receive financial aid assistance. They can also take course placement testing and work individually with an Advisor on course selection. During the event, the GBCC application fee of $20.00 will be waived for anyone who attends the event. Attendees who bring their high school diploma or transcripts may be admitted on the spot.
