Great Bay Community College hosts “Super Saturday”

PORTSMOUTH – Great Bay Community College will be hosting “Super Saturday” on Saturday, August 23rd from 8:00AM – 1:00PM at the College’s campus in Portsmouth at the Pease International Tradeport.The event provides a convenient option for students seeking to complete the enrollment process and still be ready to start classes this fall.

During the event, the admissions office, advising center, registrar, cashier and Center for Academic Planning and Support (CAPS) will all be open for business. Super Saturday participants will have the opportunity to speak with admissions staff, submit an application, take placement testing, meet individually with an advisor on course selection, receive financial aid and billing information and register for classes. 

Placement testing is required for all degree programs and most certificates to determine current skill level in math, reading, writing and technology. During the Super Saturday event, a placement testing session will be held at 8:30am. Attendees are encouraged to register ahead of time at and arrive 15 minutes early to the College Services One Stop to pay the $15 testing fee.

For anyone who attends on Saturday, the GBCC application fee of 20.00 will be waived and attendees who bring their high school diploma or transcripts will be admitted on the spot. Nursing and Veterinary technology programs are currently full for 2014, however students can begin as a Liberal Arts major, complete their general education courses and then apply for 2015.
