PORTSMOUTH - On Thursday, September 3rd students, faculty and staff at Great Bay Community College will participate in the College’s 7th annual Convocation ceremony at 12Noon. This year’s featured speaker will be Sean Clancy, Manager of Leadership Development for Legacy Supply Chain Services.  In addition to his role as an educator, professional leadership coach and student of leadership development, Clancy has over 30 years of experience in corporate America.  He is an Adjunct Faculty member at Granite State College, Principal with Leverage Professional Coaching and General Partner with Influential Intelligence. Clancy is also a longtime advocate of Great Bay Community College and is currently serving as the Chair of the Student Development Advisory Board.

“I am honored to speak at this year's convocation,” said Clancy.  “My speech, ‘Leadership: Start with a Blank Page’ will cover a topic of which I am passionate. Leadership has played an important role in my life from an early age and I believe that leadership, like education is critical to success in any endeavor.  Leadership can inspire self-awareness and responsibility which ultimately brings out the best in people."

The event, a ceremonial and symbolic tradition celebrating community among the college, is the first to be held in the gymnasium of the new 20,000 square foot Student Success Center located at GBCC’s main campus in Portsmouth at the Pease Tradeport.
