The Necessity of Addressing Lateral Violence in the Workplace

Synopsis of the talk:

‘The Presentation will reflect on the attributes of ‘Culture’ from the perspective of clinical practice. The exploration of the construct of what constitutes ‘Horizontal/ Lateral Nurse Practice violence will be covered and the intervention strategies such as; Cognitive Rehearsal will be explained and defined. The necessity to eradicate this acculturated bad behavior from our collective profession of nursing will be the focus, also how to shift this culture in general for the safety of our patients.‘  While Dr. Griffin will be speaking about this topic as it relates to the medical field, the results of her research can be used in other fields as well.

Kappa Beta Delta Business Honor Society has returned to Great Bay's campus. We are proud to be active again and are recruiting students to join. The purposes of this Society are to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students; and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind. We are looking for students in the business, computer information systems, and hospitality programs who are civic-minded individuals and scholars. Cardio kickboxing combines martial arts kicking and punching techniques with an aerobic-style exercise routine. It’s a great workout and our instructor, Graham, works for the YMCA and is highly recommended!

Disability Lunch and Learn Speaker Series
