Student Government

The Student Government Association represents the student body, upholds student rights, and provides students with the opportunity for training and experience in democratic government. The Student Government Association is the governing body for all students. They provide student representation on College governance committees, they oversee all student clubs and organizations, and they help to provide student activities both on and off campus. The Student Government Association is concerned with the development, welfare and governance of all students and student clubs and organizations at Great Bay Community College. The SGA encourages students to participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and services which directly impact the student body, all of which can be accomplished through sharing thoughts, views and opinions with the members of SGA.

The GBCC Student Government Association consists of an executive board (President, VP of Operations, VP of Portsmouth Campus, and VP of Rochester Campus), Senators, and Freshmen Representatives. The SGA meets every week and students are always invited and encouraged to share their thoughts on what is happening with the college.
