CAP CAPS Employment Opportunities

[Lab Assistants] are EXTREMELY critical to the success of operations within the Center. We are looking for customer-friendly students who enjoy working in a fast-paced Center and who are committed to student success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping students operate and navigate through various software applications and online resources to complete homework assignments and special projects.
  • Administering college computerized placement test. (Accuplacer)
  • Answering questions about programs and services associated with CAPS.
  • Assisting staff members with general flow of traffic.
  • Maintaining computers and appearance of Center.
  • Working with Center staff on special projects.

[Tutors] are needed to work with students one-on-one, in study groups or in our math and writing centers. Similar to lab assistants, tutors are CRITICAL to the success of so many students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting students with subject specific assignments and projects.
  • Assisting students with study and organizational skills.
  • Helping students to access additional resources or services when appropriate.
