Study Strategies

Available to enrolled students is the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI). The LASSI is a 10-scale, 80-item assessment of a student’s knowledge and use of successful study strategies. Upon completion of the inventory, the students may print a report that visually outlines his/her strengths and weaknesses in ten different areas The report will also provide suggestions on how to improve the weaker areas.

To take the LASSI:

1. Visit or call CAPS to get your username and password.
2. Go to: http://www.hhpubco.com/LASSI and take the assessment
3. Print out your assessment results and any other useful information.


If interested, CAPS also has an account for LASSI modules which are online tutorials in each of the ten scales. Students are encouraged to work on the tutorials to boost awareness and skills in their weaker areas. For access information, see a CAPS staff member.
