In collaboration with APICS, the Association for Operations Management, Granite State Chapter, Great Bay Community College provides a series of courses in the Principles of Operations Management for those new to the field of supply chain or want to take their fundamental knowledge to the next level. For more experienced supply change professionals, Great Bay also offers preparation for the Certificate in Product Inventory Management (CPIM). A CPIM Certification is essential for professionals in product and inventory management, operations, supply chain management, procurement, materials management and purchasing.

Job Prospects
Employment for materials handlers, inventory clerks, buyers and purchasing agents is expected to grow 2-5% through 2024.  Employment of industrial engineers is projected to show little or no change from 2014 to 2024. Firms in a variety of industries will continue to seek new ways to contain costs and improve efficiency. Applicants with experience in production occupations, along with a college degree, will enjoy the best job prospects. Employers also are likely to seek candidates who have excellent communication skills and related work experience and who are personable, flexible, and eager to enhance their knowledge and skills through ongoing training.

Earnings: 2015 Median Pay for material handlers, inventory clerks, buyers and purchasing agents: $11.58 - $28.66/hour.  Median Pay for industrial engineers is $40.13/hour.
