MATH150G - College Algebra
This course prepares the student for higher-level mathematics. Some topics covered are factoring, rational exponents, solving linear and quadratic equations, rational expressions, composite and inverse functions, systems of linear and quadratic functions, geometry, matrix algebra, logarithmic functions, and exponential functions. This course also prepares the student for higher-level mathematics through the use of Trigonometry. Some topics include right triangle trigonometry, graphing, applications, identities and formulas, vectors, law of sines, and law of cosines.
Prerequisite: Satisfactory placement test scores as defined by mathematics faculty or successful completion (grade of C or better) of MATH084G, MATH090G, or MATH145G. Students cannot receive credit for both MATH150G and MATH152G.
