This course addresses the key topics hospitality students need to know to succeed in today’s global workplace environment. Students will learn how to develop and manage effective workplace relationships and create a solid foundation for career success. Topics include effective interpersonal communication techniques with a focus on generational and cultural nuances, practicing professional communication via e-mail, text, and phone, managing your online image, leading productive meetings, resolving conflict, and developing networking skills. This course provides hospitality students with the career development skills needed for a successful transition onto the next stage of his or her career.
