This course is designed to provide the student with instruction and practice in all language domains via the reading/writing process. The course will provide opportunities for students to compose their own versions of the reading selections studied. Students will continue to use readings as models for developing effective academic writing skills. Beyond the course reader, students will use other reading materials (i.e., magazines, journals, and college text books) for discussion, and reaction papers. 


Prerequisite: a qualifying score on an ESL Placement Test, or Intermediate II with a passing grade of “C” or better. These credits do not count toward graduation requirements. 

Required course for
