This course is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of the processes used in project based organizations, and for special project within virtually all organizations.  Emphasis is placed on an overview of the project life cycle, and on an introduction to the Project Management Institute’s knowledge areas, (Project Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resource Management, Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, and Project Procurement Management).  This course is the first in a four series in preparation for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) offered through the Project Management Institute.


Prerequisite:  Permission of the Instructor or Department Chair (Permission “PERMXXXG”).
