For the spring semester, Great Bay Community College offers an array of innovative and flexible courses across academic areas as well as professional training programs that help jump start careers and satisfy degree and
transfer requirements.
Courses are available in a range of flexible formats, including in-person on campus, online, and hybrid as well as a hyflex approach that allows students to attend in person or remotely, choosing the day of class which option works best for them. Enrollment is open for the spring semester, and new sessions begin Jan. 16, Feb. 12, and March 18.
Great Bay will host an open house and tours from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 11 at its Portsmouth campus, where students can explore course offerings, meet faculty, counselors, and students, get information about student activities and support services, and learn about financing options for a debt-free college education.
“Now is a great time to take a closer look at Great Bay Community College, whether looking to start in January or another time of year” said Jenna M. Anand, Director of the Center for Academic Planning and Support & Advising and Transfer Center. “Our spring courses are among the most popular we offer. They allow students to explore new interests in addition to meeting program requirements for in-demand careers. Many of these courses count toward the transfer agreements that we have established with our partner institutions, so they also appeal to students who are interested in continuing their education.”
In total, Great Bay offers hundreds of courses across more than 50 degree and certificate programs, and a college education has never been more affordable in the Granite State.
New Hampshire Students are eligible for a free college education with the Community College System of New Hampshire Promise Program. Students with an annual income of less than $50,000 could be eligible to attend Great Bay for free. Now is also a good time to explore careers in early-childhood education. Early Childhood Education students are currently eligible for up to four (4) free classes each semester, including books and fees because of new state-level funding opportunities. The ECE Gap Scholarship covers courses, fees, general education-required courses, and books for students enrolled an ECE certificate or degree program, while the Early Childhood Tuition Assistance (ECTA) grants allows students to take two free ECE courses if they work at least 20 hours per week in the ECE field.
