Orientation & First Year
Full Day Orientation
Full Day Orientation is a single day experience where a returning student will serve as your host and guide. With a small group of your peers, new students will be taken around campus and get the chance to interact with on another while participating in a variety of fun and informative workshops with college faculty, staff, and administration. Students will hear about college traditions, opportunities to be involved in our community, learn what the academic experience is like for you as a student and get their EasyLogin information. It is an exciting, energizing and FUN day! This orientation is six hours and is suggested for all first time and transfer students. College Transition For Adult Learners (non-credit)
Starting college after being out of school for a while can feel scary and daunting. Great Bay offers a tuition-free 4-week transition program on both campuses during the month of August. Through this program, participants can become familiar with the college environment, academic expectations and resources, and work towards increasing their math, writing, and technology skills before classes even begin! The College Transition Program is designed for individuals who have been out of school for three or more years and/or graduated with a GED or Adult Diploma or referred by an advisor. Participants may register through Academic Advising or CAPS.
