PORTSMOUTH, NH – Great Bay Community College is pleased to announce that Sean Clancy has joined the College as the new Associate Vice President of Corporate and Community Education. In his new role, Clancy will be leading both the Business and Training Center and the WorkReadyNH divisions of the college. These divisions provide professional development and entry level training options for the workforce of the greater seacoast region of NH.
Clancy comes to Great Bay with over 30 years of business experience working for large corporations and small start-ups while transforming his career from sales to management to leadership and education. Most recently he has served as the Manager of Leadership Development for Portsmouth based Legacy Supply Chain Services and has been an adjunct faculty member since 2004 at both the University of New Hampshire and Granite State College among other local schools. As a longtime supporter of Great Bay Community College, he is currently serving as Chair of the Student Development Advisory Board.
Clancy is described as a life-long learner who enjoys making connections and a difference in his community. He understands and values the relationship between all forms of education and workforce development as a means to strengthen an economy. He holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Nichols College in Dudley MA, a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and a Professional Coaching Certificate from the University of New Hampshire.
An enthusiastic New Englander who loves all four seasons, Clancy has made the NH Seacoast his home for the last 14 years. He lives in Portsmouth with his wife Michaela where they enjoy the thriving arts and culture scene. They have two grown sons who they look forward to enjoying as adults for a long, long time.
