This course begins with a review of linear equations, inequalities, and systems of equations emphasizing graphing methods. Topics include matrices, linear programming, sets, an introduction to probability, the mathematics of finance, and the simplex method. Applications include Input-Output analysis, Sensitivity Analysis and Markov Chains. Prerequisite: Satisfactory placement test scores as defined by mathematics faculty or successful completion (grade of C or better) of MATH145G or MATH147G or with math department approval.
